How does Outgrown determine item conditions?

See below how we interpret the commonly used condition classifications. Our clients have indicated that they appreciate ALL conditions for different reasons and seasons of life, and thus we are happy to offer all conditions!

Please note that each item in our shop is given a classification. Any pertinent flaws will be described and photographed. 

NWT (new with tag)- item is new with tag attached.

NWOT (new without tag)- item is new but tag has been removed.

EUC (excellent used condition)- hardly worn, showing almost no visible wear.

VGUC (very good used condition)- showing minor visible wash wear, creasing, or very slight fading; has been worn but still looks great

GUC (good used condition)- regularly worn with more noticeable, normal signs of wear which may include normal wash wear, fading, or minor pilling. May have one tiny to small, faint mark or an unseen repair.

Play (play or satisfactory condition)- heavily worn and/or has multiple spots/stains or a larger stain; may have a hole or visible repair. Still fully wearable and great for outdoor play, school, daycare, or if your children (like ours) have a tendency to destroy their clothing quickly.

Do you accept returns?

We do NOT accept returns, exchanges, or offer store credit for any items. All sales are final.
Because we curate and resell preloved children's and adult clothing, all items are sold as-is. We do check each item over, provide a condition call-out, and describe any flaws or size differences we see in the item description. We highly encourage you to carefully inspect all photos and ask any questions you may have before making your purchase. That being said, if there is a significant flaw or other issue we have missed, we are happy to work with you to make it right. 

I live in the Cleveland area. Can I pick up my order?

Absolutely! Just be sure to select the pick up option at check out--it's FREE and super easy (please note local pick up is only available when paying via the standard check out or Shop Pay--it doesn't work with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal payment). We can usually have orders ready within 24 hours, sometimes sooner! 

How much is shipping?

We aim to offer the best possible shipping rates for you in this era of exorbitant costs! Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order weight. Please see our rates as of September 1, 2026 below and keep in mind, you lower the shipping rate per item by creating your own awesome bundle of pieces! 

up to 10 ounces- $8.00

10.1 ounces to 2 pounds- $10.00

2.1 pounds and up- $12.00

Can I consign or sell my family's outgrown clothing to you?

Yes--about half of our inventory comes from families just like yours! We buy directly and do not consign. Please note, because we are a small shop with only a few hands running operations, our intake ability fluctuates with workload/busy seasons. Please reach out if interested and we can send along Sell To Us information, and we'll let you know if we are currently accepting items!
